Recommended Reading

A great resource for how nature and the animal world interacts with our own.
Animals that enter our lives everyday offer us guidance and support.

All three books below are written by international animal communicator
Penelope Smith. Her work is fascinating and educational.  If you want to
strengthen your bond with your animal companion and nature I highly
recommend these books.

 When Animals Speak

Animals...Our Return to Wholeness

Animal Talk

Food Pets Die For

By Ann Martin.  This book is not for the squeamish, but is very
educational.  A must read for anyone who wants to know how to read pet food
labels and pick a wholesome nutritional food for their pet.

  Holistic Medicine

Dr Goldstein has practiced holistic medicine for over 25 years.  His
book is an excellent resource on understanding health and disease as
related to our environment, diet,  spirituality, and medical practices.
I still use it as a resource in my holistic practice.

Homeopathic Care for Cats and Dogs by Don Hamilton, DVM

Dr Hamilton's book is loaded with useful information, not only on
homeopathy, but on the nature of disease.  He also provides
recommendations on remedies for specific conditions.

Dr Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats by
Richard Pitcairn. DVM

I have been recommending Dr Pitcairn's book to my clients for years.
He discusses diet, environment and specific diseases and their
treatments.  He also provides recipes for pet food, including recommendations
for those animals with chronic disease.

Four Paws Five Directions by Cheryl Schwartz, DVM

An excellent source for learning about Chinese Medicine for your pet.
Dr Schwartz's book is easy and entertaining to read and is full of
valuable information on using acupressure and Chinese herbs to treat your
pet.

Behaving as if the God in All Life Mattered.
  By Machaelle Small Wright

Machaelle Small Wright is Cofounder of Perelandra, a nature research
center. Her book on flower essences explains the who, what, how, when,
and whys of flower essences.  It teaches you how to use kinesiology to
determine what essences to use.  The book  Behaving is her personal
story from childhood to perelandra. I highly recommend it to anyone who
wants to learn to achieve ecological balance by communicating with the
world of nature.
